🚨 The internet needs you 🚨

You’re up again, Tumblr.

Back in 2015 you demanded that the FCC adopt strict net neutrality rules and establish a free and open internet. And you won

That should’ve been the end of it. But apparently not.

The new head of the FCC wants to undo the net neutrality protections you fought so hard for.

His proposed changes open the door to your web traffic being slowed down, or even blocked altogether. You could be forced to pay extra to use your favorite apps. You could even be prevented from getting news from the sources you trust.

Title II protects consumers and democracy by ensuring all voices can be heard.

You know the drill. Here’s what to do:

The FCC is taking comments from the public, and dearfcc.org is making it as simple as possible for you to make your voice heard.

Go there now 👉 dearfcc.org ✌️

You’ll just need to provide a name, an address, and then say a little bit about why rolling back Title II protections is a bad idea. If you’re not quite sure what to write, here’s something to get you started:

I’m writing to urge you to keep our Open Internet rules based on Title II in place. Without them, we could lose the internet as we know it.

The proposed changes to FCC rules would allow fast lanes for sites that pay, and force everyone else into slow lanes. We’ve already seen access to streaming services like Netflix, popular games like League of Legends, and communication platforms like FaceTime slowed down, or even blocked. Conditions like this hurt businesses large and small, and penalize the users who patronize them.

The changes also open the door to unfair taxes on internet users, and could also make it harder for blogs, nonprofits, artists, and others who can’t pay up to have their voices heard.

Please leave the existing net neutrality rules based on Title II in place.

Thank you!

If you need more ammo, feel free to quote these experts from our net neutrality Issue Time. TechCrunch and Battle for the Net also have some good starters.

Everyone is counting on everyone else here. Do your part and tell the FCC to keep a free and open internet under Title II.

Jesus.

Look at this, and remember it next time someone says that the gay community survived the AIDS epidemic.

We didn’t survive, we started over. We lost all but an entire generation.

This is what “we survived Reagan, you’ll survive Trump” looks like. No, we didn’t.

even though doomfist is clearly a master tactician who can think quickly and find openings and weaknesses in his enemies in seconds and is said in his bio to be charismatic and intelligent, how long do you think it’ll be until the fandom reduces him to a hot-headed, angry mess who just likes punching things

I give it three days, though probably less.

I’ll never see Doomfist as a punch happy villain because of what I saw in his trailer. To me, Doomfist is a smart villain. I love the way he takes out Tracer.

Tracer is able to dodge the car Doomfist throws at her.

In this brief moment he sees that Tracer has the superior speed and agility, but the drawback is that her attacks are nothing to him. In the last frame of this gif you can tell Doomfist has figured out how Tracer moves and how she does it.

He swipes at her. We’ve seen how Doomfist attacks. His punches are direct, straightforward, and precise. To make a swipe is not something he would do without purpose. That swipe was his way of forcing Tracer to evade by using her blink ability. When she teleports, Doomfist doesn’t look to where she was in confusion. That’s something mindless goons do. Instead, he immediately reaches for where he KNOWS Tracer will reappear and without hesitation destroys her chronal accelerator. He knew this is the source of her power.

The detail of him just standing there as she flickers out of time is amazing. Doomfist doesn’t care about the fallout of his actions. He saw an opponent he needed to beat, he figured out her weakness, and he took advantage of it. Tracer has fallen, and like Doomfist says at the end of his trailer, she will now be forgotten.

this person breaks it down really well and like if you’re having a hard time figuring out how you should write doomfist it wouldn’t hurt to read breakdowns like this and thinking about how his actions in this video reflect on his characterization and personality

I mean…80% of Talon agents that we have seen are People of Color, the ONE exception being Widowmaker who is brainwashed and her literal skin tone changes to “not white” to represent this evil shift.

And while Tracer was eventually “saved” and anchored in time, we can only imagine what it means to have your molecules blown apart through space and time. As was stated, before the chronal accelerator, Tracer was a “ghost in time.” What are ghosts if not the lingering will of the dead? Oh, and Tracer is the only as-of-now confirmed queer character and a lesbian at that. Popular target of “bury your gays”

So I honestly don’t give a fuck about the level of detail in this lore trailer and this analysis when Blizzard is pulling some of the most cliche, blatantly racist and homophobic tropes out of their asses to write it

Can you tell us about your first time?

I had turned 18 and just gotten to college. My first time was on valentines day, and the guy was really sweet. We watched horror movies, and cuddled for awhile before we started making out. I’m really tight, but he kept kissing me and making sure that everything felt okay. He was really considerate for my first time. He ended up freaking out at one point because he though I was bleeding only to realize he was using a red condom lol. Afterwards we got dressed, he grabbed my hand, and showed me off to all his friends around campus. We ended up going to his friends party, taking shots, and I ended up dancing with all the girls there while he tried to get me to have sex with them in their bed. They were totally okay with it, but I had a lot more fun dancing with cute girls ahah.
